Each list in ProAbono provides access to essential data for managing your SaaS business.
Overview of the List
The Balance by Customer list gathers information related to the state of customer balances. It allows you to review and analyze key data to monitor unbilled lines, identify customers with anomalies (such as the accumulation of numerous unbilled lines), and refine your billing management.
Each row in the list provides a summary of a customer’s balance, including the following information:
- the customer’s name,
- the currency used,
- the number of unbilled balance lines,
- the total amounts of these lines (excluding and including taxes),
- the period during which these lines were generated.
This list can be accessed from the left navigation menu in the back office, under the section Invoices & Payments > All lists & exports.
Available Filters
To simplify the search and analysis of balances, this list offers several powerful filters:
- By segment: groups customers according to their defined segments.
- By currency: EUR, USD, or any other currency used by your customers.
- By payment method: Credit card, SEPA direct debit, bank transfer, check, cash, etc.
These filters help refine the results so you can focus on relevant information.
Available Actions
Each list includes an “Actions” button to perform operations on the displayed data. Data export is available and offers two main options:
- File Export: export the data in CSV or JSON formats for easy integration into your analysis tools (e.g., Excel, databases).
- Export via ProAbono API: retrieve data through the API to integrate it into your automated workflows.
Examples and Use Cases
Here are some examples of how the Balance by Customer list can be used:
- Identify customers who have accumulated many unbilled lines. This may indicate that automatic billing has been disabled, an employee is managing specific customers manually, or a technical issue is preventing invoice issuance.
- Monthly Audit: export pending balances for a monthly audit to verify unbilled amounts and adjust your processes.
These examples demonstrate how the Balance by Customer list can be used to maintain effective billing and proactively manage your customer accounts.
