Description
An OnOff feature has a binary operation.
It allows you to model access to a functionality, option, module, or service.
When you add an OnOff feature to an offer, you can:
- Make the feature payable or non-payable
If payable, indicate the amount. This amount will be billed based on the subscription offer’s periodicity. In other words, if the offer is monthly, the billing for this feature will be monthly. - Choose whether to activate it or not
You can define a default behavior. For example, you may want an “option” to be active immediately to generate more revenue. - Allow or restrict the customer’s freedom to activate/deactivate it
In the hosted pages (subscription funnel and customer portal), the customer may have the option to modify the features themselves. - Choose prorated billing or full billing
By default, billing is prorated. By selecting the “full periods are billable” parameter, activating this feature during a period will be billed in full.
Examples
Your offer provides the option to access 24/7 support for an additional amount of €59 per month.
1st possibility: This service is disabled by default. The customer can activate it at any time if needed. If the customer chooses this service, it will increase the cost of their subscription by €59 per month.
2nd possibility: This service is enabled by default and increases the cost of the subscription by €59 per month, but the customer can deselect it if they don’t need it.
