Each list in ProAbono provides access to essential data for managing your SaaS business.
Overview of the List
The Credit Notes list gathers information related to refund or cancellation invoices issued for your customers. It allows you to view and analyze critical data to monitor credit notes, identify irregularities, or deepen your understanding of refunds or cancellations related to your business.
Note: A credit note is generated in ProAbono when an invoice is refunded or canceled.
You can access this list from the left navigation menu in the back office by going to the section Invoices & Payments > All lists & exports.
Available Filters
To simplify the search and analysis of credit notes, the list offers several filters. Here are the main filters available:
- By date: Filter invoices by issue date or payment date. You can choose predefined periods (day, week, month, rolling month, 30 rolling days, year) or specify custom dates.
- By customer country: Refine results based on the customer’s country of origin.
- By segment: Filter by customer segments (e.g., Premium, SMB, etc.).
- By currency: Display credit notes based on the currency used (EUR, USD, …).
- By credit note status: Select invoices based on their status (e.g., refunded, pending, canceled, etc.).
- By invoices with or without tax: Differentiate credit notes with or without tax (VAT or other taxes).
- By type of credit: Filter credit notes by credit type (Refund, Cancellation, Unpaid, Dispute).
These filters allow you to refine results and focus only on relevant information.
Available Actions
Each list has an “Actions” button to perform operations on the displayed data.
Data export is available for each list. You can choose between two types of exports:
- File export: Export data in CSV or JSON formats for easy integration into your analysis tools (e.g., Excel, databases).
- Export via the ProAbono API: Retrieve data through the API for integration into your automated workflows.
Examples and Use Cases
Here are some examples of how to use the Credit Notes list:
- Tracking issued refunds: Users can filter by date and country to identify refunds made over a given period and anticipate financial flows.
- Analyzing trends by currency: Export data to observe the distribution of credit notes by currency (EUR, USD, …) and adjust international commercial strategies.
- Identifying at-risk segments: Using filters by segment and credit note status, it’s possible to detect customer segments with a high number of credit notes.
These examples illustrate how the list can help optimize refund management and monitoring for your SaaS business.
