Overview
ProAbono’s tax engine automatically calculates the applicable tax rate for each invoice line, based on the nature of the product, service, or fee involved, as well as the customer’s context (country, status, etc.). This precision is essential for compliance with e-invoicing requirements, where each line must be associated with an accurate and justifiable tax rate.
The core concept: the charge
Every billed line in ProAbono — whether it’s a product, a service, or a special fee — is linked to a charge type. This is the information that allows the tax engine to determine the applicable rate.
The charge type can be defined at several levels of your environment (business, segment, offer, feature), with a cascading default value system.
