The different ways to interrupt a subscription
In ProAbono there are three ways to interrupt a customer’s subscription. These actions are reserved for agents holding the necessary access rights in the ProAbono back office.
1. Suspension at renewal
Section titled “1. Suspension at renewal”The subscription runs until its renewal date, then is suspended. The customer keeps their data but loses access to the service. This option is useful for a temporary pause — after a failed payment, for example, or at the customer’s request.
As long as the renewal date has not been reached, a suspension at renewal can be cancelled.
A suspended subscription can be restarted at any time, which reactivates the service without having to create a new subscription.
2. Termination at renewal
Section titled “2. Termination at renewal”The subscription stays active until the end of the current period, then is terminated automatically. This is the recommended method when a subscription has to stop without an immediate interruption: access and billing are maintained until the end of the period the customer has already paid for.
As long as the subscription has not been definitively terminated, a termination at renewal can be cancelled.
3. Immediate termination
Section titled “3. Immediate termination”The subscription is stopped instantly. The customer’s access is cut off and billing stops on a pro rata basis. This option suits situations where the service has to end straight away — a subscription created in error, or an urgent request.
An immediate termination is final: the subscription cannot be reactivated.
To restore the service, a new subscription must be created.
