Connecting a payment gateway is an important step in deploying your environment.
Indeed, ProAbono allows you to issue invoices and create direct debit orders, which will be managed by the payment gateways to perform transactions and collect payments from your end customers.
Payment gateways are therefore a crucial and indispensable link in automating the entire process of managing payments and collecting funds.
Prerequisites
- You must first create an account with your chosen payment gateway in order to connect ProAbono with the selected provider.
Procedure
ProAbono has integrations with the following payment gateways:
- Stripe
- GoCardless
- Slimpay
- Adyen
- Braintree
The connection with Stripe and GoCardless payment gateways can be done autonomously using SmartConnect (a specific integration to facilitate the connection) provided by these providers.

Attention: A payment gateway account is linked to only one payment method! If you wish to set up both credit card (CB) and SEPA payment methods, make sure you have created an account for each payment method.
