Part of the data stored in ProAbono about your Customers can be considered as Personal Data.

The ‘Anonymization‘ functionnality is designed to help you to deal with local regulations regarding this kind of data, like the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What are the Personal Data in ProAbono?

For a Customer

  • The Name field
  • The E-mail field

For the Billing Address

  • The First name field
  • The Last name field
  • The Phone number field
  • If the Customer is not a company, then the whole address, with the exception of the city and the country

How does it work?

As the address of a company is not considered as Personal Data, Anonymization will proceed differently is the Customer if a company or a person. If the Company field has a value in the Billing Address, then the address is the address of the company.

Please note that using this procedure is not mandatory. If you have exceptions or if you store Personal Data in other fields, you can make your own cleaning using the backoffice or the API.

As it would makes no sense, Anonymization is not available for active Customers. All the subscriptions have to be terminated, all invoice settled and the Customer Balance must be empty.

The Customer is a company

If the Company field is not empty, then anonymization will:

  • Replace in the Customer the content of the Name field with the name of the company
  • Remove the Customer E-mail field
  • Remove in the Billing Address the First name / Last name / Phone fields
  • Delete the automated e-mail history
  • Delete the recent activity
  • Delete the webhook notifications history
  • Delete the subscriptions being configured (status ‘initialized’)

The Customer is a person

If the Company field is empty, the Customer is considererd as a person. Anonymization will :

  • Remove the Customer Name field
  • Remove the Customer E-mail field
  • Remove the Billing Address First name / Last name / Phone / Address (line 1 & 2) fields
  • Delete the automated e-mail history
  • Delete the recent activity
  • Delete the webhook notifications history
  • Delete the subscriptions being configured (status ‘initialized’)
